Veg-O-Might

Q: I had tow pieces of fried chicken, rice, and salad," he recalls. for some reason, he couldn't stop glaring at the chicken. "I was thinking about all the killing and destruction going on in the world.

Q: I wonder why he desired to become a vegan body builder. Was it to prove a point to people?

C: The quot that I chose was interesting to me because that's really the only sentence that stood out to me. I have thought about becoming a vegetarian in the passed or at least reducing my meat intake, but I haven't had a moment were I had a deep thought about why I didn't want to eat it anymore. I have watched the food inc documentary but it still hasn't done the trick. Maybe one day i will have a strange epiphany about meat and completely have a different mind set.

Spoiled

Q: Because the typical farmers markets supplied by dozens of different farms, each transporting its crops in a separate van or truck, a 20 pound shopping basket of locally grown produce might actually represent a larger carbon footprint than the same volume of produce purchased at a chain retailer which gets its produce in mass, via large trucks.

Q: I wonder what is actually helping our environment, getting our crops locally or from the local grocery stores.

C: I used to visit my local farmers market every Sunday and i loved it. I talked to people about there jobs, and what they did. It seemed to me like it could be helping the community  But i am just kind of curios about whats really going on in the world.

Beets in the hood

Q: "right down the street was the largest housing project"

Q: I wonder wonder what his doubts were about starting this market in the "hood"? Did he have doubts?

C: That was great of him to step out there and take a chance to help other people. I know in the store up the street from my house there is a section for organic food. It is actually more expensive than the regular vegetables, and we never get the the organic kind for that simple fact. I believe it should be that way we should all be able to receive great vegetables no matter how much money we have. We should be able to at least have the choice.
